    These words by one of America's most beloved writers echoes the thoughts of many coffee lovers worldwide that 100% pure Kona is one of the premium specialty coffees of the world.


    This coffee is strictly monitored for its Classification and Certification and is controlled by the Kona Coffee Council. Only coffee grown on the slopes of Mount Hualani and Mount Lao in the Kona District of the Big Island of Hawaii may be called 100% Certified Kona Coffee. They are graded by type and bean size - Extra Fancy being the best. The higher the grade, the lower the percentage of defects (like sour beans, broken pieces, etc.) allowed and so the smoother the taste.


    Kona is simple and sweet, yet it has a variety of characteristics - rich, spicy, with a hint of chocolate and a huge full body flavor with overtones of fruitiness and a clean finish.


    This is the coffee for those that those to savor the aroma before drinking - it will sweep you off to a well-deserved Hawaiian vacation with every sip.
