    A deep, dark European roast with a fresh hint of anise.


    Anise is warm-season annual herb and in the past has been said to be used as a cure for sleeplessness, and was chewed with Alexanders and a little honey in the morning to freshen the breath. Anisette toast, a European treat, is now called Italian Biscotti (recipe in "Entertaining with the Sopranos".


    But back to the coffee - it has a subtle and warm licorice flavor and is a perfect compliment to our premium100% Arabica roasted espresso coffee. This is a unique coffee that will become a timeless favorite.
